01Criss-Cross

  1. Start at the bottom eyelets, laces going in from outside.
  2. Cross each lace over and feed into the next eyelet up on the opposite side.
  3. Repeat to the top — the classic, even look.

02Straight (Bar) Lacing

  1. Feed both ends up through the bottom eyelets from inside.
  2. Run one end straight up the side and across at the top.
  3. With the other end, zig-zag across, skipping one eyelet each time, until both ends meet at the top.

03Over-Under

  1. Alternate going over and under at each eyelet pair.
  2. Creates a clean bar appearance on the outside and a hidden cross inside.
  3. Great for a minimal, flat look.

04Ladder Lacing

  1. Run laces straight up through the bottom eyelets.
  2. Cross over and run straight up the outside, then back through the next pair to form "rungs".
  3. Locks the fit tight — popular on high-tops.

05Zipper Lacing

  1. Thread straight up through the bottom eyelets.
  2. Loop each end back through the same-side eyelet below, then up to the next.
  3. Forms a zipper pattern — bold and secure.

Tip: flat wax-finish laces hold knots tighter and look sharper with Straight (Bar) lacing, while round laces shine on Criss-Cross and Ladder patterns.
